Live Chat

Description: Chat can be used to speak to other attendees during an event either as a group or directly as a direct message. 


How to launch chat:

In order to launch the chat feature, locate the "Chat" button on the right side of the screen. (Must be logged into the event site in order to chat)

Chatrooms:

Clicking on the "Chat" button will open a panel containing a list of rooms that you may participate in conversations within. Clicking on the chatroom you would like to join will redirect you in the panel where you can type your message to others in the room. (Note: the rooms available may look different based on the event)



Direct Messages:

Once a chatroom is open you may choose another attendee to interact with directly in a direct message. This can be accomplished my clicking on the three dots next to their name followed by clicking on the chat message bubble that is displayed following this. Oncea Direct Message has begun you may access the current live conversations by selecting the "Direct Messages" tab in the top of the chat window navigation.


Blocking an attendee :

In the event that you would like to block contact with another individual click the three dot menu next to their name and click the "Block" button. This will their messages to you directly as well as in the main chatrooms. In the event that you are expereincing vulgarity or harrasment please use the "Support" button to report the incident to the event coordinators


Leaving a chat:

In order to leave a chat click on the back navigation arrow at the top of the chat window or click on the chat tab to close the panel.
